24-Hour Emergency HVAC Service on the South Shore of Massachusetts

Heating and cooling systems break down when they work the hardest, which means a January cold snap or a July heat wave. If you have no heat, no cooling, or a problem that worries you, call or text (781) 353-8852. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a person answers.

We serve homeowners in Norwell and across Plymouth County. Tell us what you are seeing, your address, and the kind of system you have, and we will tell you what to do while help is on the way. Many problems have a safe first step that makes the wait easier.

We are a family owned company with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and 50 years in business. Emergencies are when we are most useful, and they are when you find out who a company really is.

What counts as an HVAC emergency

  • No heat in cold weather

Especially with young children, older adults, or anyone with health conditions in the home. Frozen pipes are a risk too.

  • No cooling in a heat wave

Heat is dangerous for infants, older adults, and people with medical conditions.

  • Smell of gas

Leave the house and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not use switches, phones inside, or anything that could spark.

  • Carbon monoxide alarm

Get everyone outside into fresh air and call 911. Do not go back in until responders say it is safe.

  • Burning smell or smoke from equipment

Turn the system off at the breaker if it is safe to reach and call us.

  • Water leaking from a boiler or furnace

Shut off the water feed if you can do so safely, and call.

  • Oil smell or visible oil leak

Shut off the burner switch and call.

  • Total system failure with no warning

When nothing runs and you cannot tell why, call us. We will sort out whether it is a simple fix.

Staying safe while you wait

If the heat is out

  • Close doors to unused rooms and gather the household in one room.
  • Add layers and blankets. Do not use a stove, oven, charcoal grill, or generator indoors to heat the house.
  • If you use a space heater, keep it away from anything flammable and never leave it unattended.
  • Open cabinet doors under sinks on exterior walls to help prevent frozen pipes, and let a faucet drip.
  • Check on older neighbors and relatives who may be affected.

If the air conditioning is out

  • Close blinds and curtains on sunny windows and use fans to move air.
  • Drink water, wear light clothing, and move to the coolest part of the house, usually the lowest floor.
  • Know the signs of heat illness. Call 911 if anyone shows signs of heat stroke.
  • Check on infants and older adults often.

Our no-heat checklist explains what you can check before you call, which sometimes gets a system running again without a service visit.

Systems we handle after hours

If your system is beyond repair, we can discuss replacement as soon as the immediate problem is handled. See heating and cooling installation for how that process works.

24-Hour Emergency Service: common questions

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes. Our hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call or text (781) 353-8852.

Do you charge more for after-hours calls?

Ask us when you call. We will explain how pricing works for your situation before any work begins.

Can I text instead of call?

Yes. Text (781) 353-8852 with your name, address, and what is going on. If it is a safety issue such as gas or carbon monoxide, call 911 first.

What should I do if I smell gas?

Leave the house immediately, leave doors as they are, and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not touch light switches or use anything that could spark.

What if you cannot fix it the same visit?

We tell you the plan and the timing. If a part has to be ordered, we explain how to stay comfortable and safe in the meantime.

Do you serve my town?
